Russian born, Yana Khromova is a fashion designer, CEO of the Yana K Fashion Group and creator of the philanthropic organization, The Dream Factory Foundation.  She has carved out a niche market in the fashion industry attracting praise for her colorful custom silk prints, luxurious flowing maxi dresses and cuts that highlight the female form.  Her styles are known for their effortless elegance and soft textures pulled together in a modern structure and feel.  Yana K is often referred to as a clothing line where freedom of speech meets the freedom of design.

Descending from a family of seamstresses, Khromova refined her innate ability for craft and design by watching her mother work as a master seamstress in their hometown of Vladivostok, Russia.  "By age 5, I knew I was to become a fashion designer," says the 26 year-old.  She learned from her mother's unique approach to dealing with fabric and the beauty of a seamless hemline.  Her mother's technique of cutting and stitching provided the anchor from which Khromova developed her burgeoning interest in fashion.

Relocating to Los Angeles at the age of 11 years old, Khromova faced learning an entirely new culture and language.  Through these challenges, she gained a sense of independence and drive beyond her years, ultimately enabling her to turn her love of design into a sound career path.  "Moving to a new country at an early age taught me determination and gave me a sense of unstoppable force."  Her confidence and boundless passion for creating fashion led her to convincing her mother to invest the money set aside for university and put it towards opening her first storefront on LA's famed Melrose Avenue.  By 19 years old, Yana K boutique was established with Khromova's personal designs for sale.

Khromova is also Yana K's chief-executive-officer, overseeing the business side balancing her creativity.  She is at the helm of

her ever-growing Yana K brand, which recently introduced their latest endeavor entitled The Dream Factory Foundation. Khromova is dedicated to establishing the brand's commitment to the community. The Dream Factory Foundation supplements orphanages, providing resources such as computers, books, and art supplies to children in need. When asked about the new organization Yana said, "My goal is to have a positive impact on as many kids as possible. They are the next generation and we at Yana K, want to play a part in preparing them for the future." Currently, The Dream Foundation is focused in the Los Angeles area and is excited to expand nationwide Khromova lists fashion tastemakers including Coco Channel, Stella McCartney and Alexander Vasilier as artists she admires most, yet credits her main inspiration being everyday people who dare to live true to their personal style. Her approach to designing is all natural, forgoing restraints in the technical and letting her inner voice guide her towards a new creation. "It's like a meditation. I focus on nothing but what's within and let it move a style." Yana K is all that is feminine juxtaposed with a boldness that makes a woman stand out. Her clothing has a vibrancy and freshness that drapes you in sheer inspiration straight from the designer's heart.

Today, Yana K is a bona fide fashion brand with a fan following of A-list celebrities and the everyday women looking to express her sense of cool. All collections are locally made in Downtown, Los Angeles and can be found in department stores such as Barney's Co-Op, Fred Segal, Scoop, Intermix and online at yanak.com. The company's mantra is also the designer's sole ambition: Live Today, Dream Tomorrow, and Love Yesterday. Khromova's hope is that every woman who wears her clothing will also inhabit this ambition.
